Located steps away from Lafayette College in Easton, PA, The Trolley Stop Diner offers made-from-scratch, home-style diner classics featuring ingredients from local farmers and makers from across the Lehigh Valley and Pocono Mountains.

The Diner features brick from the original structure and pictures from the old Easton trolley system.

At the Trolley Stop, we believe that small food producers play a vital role in creating a sustainable food system and the preservation of our area’s agricultural land and open spaces. That’s why we source our ingredients locally and actively practice food waste management on a daily basis. Our kitchen is outfitted with a biodigester, which reduces 100% of our food waste from landfills, reduces methane emissions, and lowers the diner’s carbon footprint.

On April 26, 2021 the diner welcomed its first official guests – Lafayette College President Alison Byerly, her husband Steven Jenson, and Easton Mayor Sal Panto Jr.

During the rest of the 2021 spring semester, the Trolley Stop will be open to Lafayette students only. In order to preview the exciting new menu, students are required to make reservations via email at reserve@lafayette.edu.

Students can use meal swipes and Pard dollars at the diner. Meal swipes are equivalent to an $8.00 limit. After that dollar amount has been met, if there is still a balance on a student’s check, any accepted tender can be used (Pard dollars, cash, credit, debit).

In line with the existing PA Department of Health, CDC guidelines, and COVID limited capacity restrictions, the diner has 10 tables of four available, allowing a maximum of four guests seated per table. Trolley Stop staff is adhering to all cleaning and sanitizing schedules, will be masked at all times, and will socially distance guests.
