Mardi Gras, meaning “Fat Tuesday” in French, is a lively celebration known for its bold colors (purple, green, and gold), festive beads, elaborate masks, and sweet traditions. It’s a time of music, food, and community — and now you can join the celebration right here on campus!
Location: Upper Farinon
Date: Tuesday, February 17th, 2026
Time: 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Featuring: Festive fun & King Cake
One of the sweetest Mardi Gras traditions is the iconic king cake — a colorful, cinnamon-filled pastry topped with purple, green, and gold sugar. Hidden inside is a tiny baby figurine, and whoever finds it is said to have good luck (and sometimes the responsibility of bringing the next cake!).
Whether you’re a longtime Mardi Gras fan or just looking to try something new, this is the perfect way to add a little celebration to your day.
